Vision: Stronger Telecentres

•Enhanced interaction and exchange of experiences between Telecentres the participation.
•To promote the exchange of experiences between staff in the field of information technology.
•Communications amongst countries of basic steps to be worked for the promotion and development.
•Promotion of a common unified communication channel interactive exchange through which members of the participants their experience with others in variety fields, especially social and economic, with a focus on factors Advancement and Support of the communities and remote rural areas, which is sometimes difficult to access.
•The goal through ICTs and education ,learning to achieve ultimate goal by bridging the digital divide between the urban and rural in our countries and reduce the digital divide between men and women through information technology.
•To expanding horizons and scope of youth which use technologies and computer technology to reach vital point "Information for all".
•The exchange of experiences through the gate of the joint unified platform for the participants via members providing their experiences and their success and failure in some cases.
•That our site is the only forum that brings and included all participants in the Community Development Support Plan, which reflected on the future of society and its members have achieved this through the last event in Kuala Lumpur "TLF" Telecentre Leader Forum.

In order to do such steps should be initiatives in place and ready to cooperate in creating resources and solidarity to cross into the gate of information technology, communications and networking.

We invite all participants to exchange local national experiences, in addition international, organizations NGOs, governmental, and civil society organizations, private sector and SMEs.

To summarize interrelate ideas and goals and objectives and to live amongst technically countries lead at the global level. We will sum up the most important items participations through exchange of experiences:

•Discussion group goals and objectives that achieve community development through the exchange of experiences amongst colleagues.
•Promote access points amongst participants on the information useful, and available resources, articles, publications and information communications technology.
•Provide advice and guidance on all issues relating to information technology and serving the community.
•Found experiences and successful models in some countries in order to benefit from the repetition of such models or create better successful models.
Finally, our societies can grow and prosper through join hands and unify the ideas, strategy of action, transparent to serve everyone for a bright future.

ICTs for Rural Women Empowerment
Hand in hand with success makers

Salamieh Community Telecentre main target is to spread computer literacy among young women and to bridge the gap between the economy and the information sector. Also the Telecentre is implementing maximal use of computer technologies to promote and build young women capacities and enable them find job opportunities in a challenging women – power market .
These ICTs letters shed light on part of our efforts in this domain and focus on the critical importance of ICTs Programme .
We hope our young women might be inspired to take the first step to make success and bright future. The following stories are authentic .They were sent from our students who could get job opportunities and become more competent and qualified .

SURE, IT WAS A GREAT ACHIEVEMENT.

Our Salamieh Community Telecentre office has recently received floods of letters from our dear students who expressed their deep thanks and high estimation for our Telecentre. They revealed how much success they could ripe after finishing their computer and language courses in our Telecentre.

Roza khaled
Roza khaled is a student from "Barri" a village 30 Kms east of Salamieh. She got her high school certificate in 2003 . She was not able to continue her academic studies due to severe poverty. She came to Salamieh Community Telecentre and we consulted her to follow a computer course in secondary administrative assistant for 6 months .She also took a course in English language (profile 1-/interchange) and a course communicative English and other courses in management.
The Telecentre offered her all possible help to pursue her courses .Finally, she could finish her tests and exams successfully and get a certificate from Telecentre.
A week ago she surprised us with a letter she sent from her new job location.

Jannet Doun is an agronomist working for the AGA Khan RSP Agency- Syria
She wanted to improve her input English and computer skills . She needed it badly as her job requires her to send and exchange e-mails , and travel a lot.
She attended a 3 month course at our Telecentre , she concluded her courses
with remarkable success.
She sent us her letter a week ago. She will be attending learning a training work shop in the Netherlands in September .

Fatemah Kanaan
Salamieh Community Telecentre is adopting an ambitious strategy to support women improve their computer and business English skills.
Fatemah Kanaan, from Al saan village 35 Kms north of Salamieh, She is a graduate from the Faculty of Economy and Trade , Aleppo University.
She strived for a long time to get a job, but all her efforts were in vain. Companies are doing wide cut off on its women power .It was a great challenge for her to expose new skills that could convince managers of her competence.
She followed two courses in computer(accountancy programme and more application from Microsoft office -ICDL and a course in Business English Profile 1- 2- and Interchange) . She was a brilliant student among her colleagues. She could attain the ICDL and business English in short period .She has recently sent us some good news from her job country .Sharjah Emirates in a AL ZAHRA shopping Mall as a sales manager .

ICTs, Training help children to access information world
"Information at your finger tips"
ICTs, under the motto "Information at your finger tips", is a promising programme that would work as bridge for children in (SCT) Salamieh Community Telecentre, to communicate with other children in the world.
It helps enriching them with necessary knowledge station and sense of creativity . It is by far, a way to materialize their dreams and enables them pass the threshold of global horizons.
Salamieh Community Telecentre, through its Communication and Information Sector, is therefore actively assisting children and young people to produce information themselves by supporting children media, and facilitating them create information.
Training was conducted at the Strategic ICT programme for socio-economic development , ReefNet-Syria by Salamieh Community Telecentre – Syria – as part of education programme for children which was developed with the collaboration with the UNDP and the Ministry of Communication and Technology in Syria.
The two-month training period in computer, English and French language was dedicated to help children to access information world. The children were enthusiastic to investigate world of information .
90 ICTs teaching hours are allocated to train children on concept of computer, access to internet world and English, French languages to develop skills in learning information on application programme.
(SCT) always works to investigate the roles that technology can play in improving teaching and learning children inside and outside the classroom. It also designs and develops technology applications that support engaged, active learning in formal and informal settings.
the programme is conducted by " Nabil Eid , Head manager of the (SCT) and Abdallah Fadel , Head of Language Department .Also ( Khloud Hwaijeh, Roaa Al Daman ) teachers of computer and (Reem Al Daman , Faten al Haj, Hawazen al Chaarani) teachers of English. (Lamis Mahfoud ) teacher of French language.
All children and their families participants realized the importance and benefits of this kind of training for education professionals. The children received a package of handouts, which is of great help for their future teaching activities.

Okba Al Khateeb is five years old. He is as student in the primary class in computer .
He has shown much attachment and zeal to learn computer and has made a remarkable progress. He was at his computer doing some practices when I approached him:
- Hi, your name is Okba, isn’t it?
- Yes, it is , I am Okba.
- How old are you?
- I am 5 years.
- Do you like your class?
- yes I do. very much.
- Why do you like computer class?
- I learn a lot about computer. I can write document and draw by paint programme and play games.
- How many times do you come to Salamieh Community Telecentre?
- Three times a week, but I want more.
- How can you work on computer?
- Look it is easy you do … this …. move the mouse , choose the menu bar , icon , and click here and it is OK.
- What things would you like to learn more in the computer class?
- I'd like to learn how to use internet explorer and I'd like to chat with other children around the world.
Raghdah Yehia
She is a 7 years old girl. She came from jadouah , small village it's 15 Kilometers far from telecentre . She is active and frank , She is studying English language in her class in addition to computer . She is reviewing her grammar modules with her teacher.

Mohamed al Fadil , 10 Year old boy He is active smart and hard working , He has proven great skills and success in taking our programme . He can do any thing on computer " as He said "

- I am designing medicine a programme for my father . My father is a doctor and he needs programme for his clinic.

- I use visual basic and data base to cerate my programme.

Mr Faisal Darwaish . A local citizen in Salamieh , came to our centre in the morning and asked us to enroll his daughter Hibba, for 2nd Time.
When I asked him about his impression , he expressed his great estimation to the centre and this is is what he said
" First I had a simple …idea about the centre but when my daughter Hibba had her first ICTs training at your centre I was surprised and over joyed with the bulk of information progress, she has had and the change that has come over here. My only daughter showed much attachment to the computer programme you are giving". I was at loss how I could fill her summer times . Now , She can contact by internet with her brother in UAE, by sending emails, photos, news of our family and we can hear daily news from my son abroad.
